As discussed in previous blog posts, hearing loss can impact people of any age: infants, children, adults, and seniors. Interestingly, pregnancy is a common time where hearing loss can develop or fluctuate.
As any mom knows, pregnancy changes everything. From morning sickness to headaches to sleeplessness, pregnancy has a big impact on the body. Hormonal fluctuations can impact the ears as well.
Fluctuations in hearing is most common in women who already had hearing loss previous to their pregnancy. It is very important that if you are pregnant you have a hearing test to monitor your hearing sensitivity over time.
