Dr. Kristen Nortwich

Audiologist

Dr. Kristen Nortwich is an audiologist at our West Long Branch, NJ hearing center, where she works alongside Dr. Tara Mango providing comprehensive audiological care to patients across Monmouth County and the Jersey Shore.

Dr. Nortwich earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed minors in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. She went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology from Montclair State University in 2026, where she was an active member of the Student Academy of Audiology and participated in the NJhEARS hearing screening program serving New Jersey communities.

During her graduate training, Dr. Nortwich served as a research assistant in Montclair's Hearing Outcome and Neuroscience Lab, contributing to electrophysiological research that has since been published in peer-reviewed journals. Her doctoral capstone examined the effects of headphone listening on sound localization — work that reflects a broader interest in how everyday listening habits affect auditory perception.

Dr. Nortwich completed her doctoral residency at Live Better Hearing + Balance, where she trained in clinical best practices including Real-Ear Measurement verified hearing aid fittings, comprehensive diagnostic testing, and tinnitus evaluation and management. She is also a certified Lyric provider.

Hearing loss has been part of Dr. Nortwich's own family history, and that experience shapes how she approaches patient care. She understands firsthand the communication barriers that untreated hearing loss can create, and she brings genuine empathy to every patient relationship, particularly those who are navigating hearing loss alongside the people they love most.

A lifelong Monmouth County resident, Dr. Nortwich enjoys traveling, hiking, attending concerts, and roller skating in her time outside the clinic.
