Dr. Shelby Gillen is a clinical audiologist at our Montgomery Village, MD clinic. She earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Auburn University, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University, summa cum laude. During her time at Auburn, she was a graduate assistant in the Office of Accessibility and served as president of Pups on the Plains, a non-profit animal rescue. Her clinical experience spans private practice and ENT settings, where she has provided comprehensive hearing care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Gillen specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus management, and she treats patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. She is well-versed in working with leading hearing aid manufacturers, including Starkey, Phonak, Resound, and Oticon, and utilizes advanced testing techniques such as real-ear measurements and otoacoustic emissions testing. Her patient-centered approach ensures that each individual receives customized solutions to improve their hearing and quality of life.

Passionate about audiology, Dr. Gillen is committed to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest advancements in hearing healthcare. She holds certifications from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in both Maryland and Virginia.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gillen enjoys fostering animals, playing with her three dogs, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
