plus icon

Dr. Danielle Mills provides comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, prescription hearing aid fittings from all major manufacturers, Real-Ear Measurement verification, balance testing including VNG and canalith repositioning, cerumen management, hearing aid repairs and reprogramming, and custom ear molds. Patients are seen by appointment Monday through Friday.

Does your Annapolis clinic accept insurance for hearing tests or hearing aids?

plus icon

Yes. Live Better Hearing + Balance in Annapolis accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Medicare typically covers medically necessary diagnostic hearing and balance evaluations when ordered by a physician, though it does not cover hearing aids. Many Medicare Advantage plans include hearing aid benefits. We recommend calling our office at (410) 671-5656 so our team can verify your specific coverage prior to your appointment.

What is Real-Ear Measurement and why does it matter for hearing aid fittings?

plus icon

Real-Ear Measurement is a clinical verification process in which a small probe microphone is placed in the ear canal to measure how a hearing aid is actually performing relative to a patient's audiometric prescription. It confirms that the device is delivering the correct level of amplification at each frequency for that individual's hearing loss. Many hearing aid dispensers skip this step, relying instead on manufacturer software estimates. At our Annapolis clinic, Real-Ear Measurement is standard practice for every fitting.
