as alays excellent service by interested personnel.
comfortable atmosphere. Kind, warm front desk and doctor. respectful of me and suggested what I needed. Also, the visit was n/c- very much appreciated.
Great service. Now have "better hearing." Thank you.
Dr. Roach, Thanks for the test and adjustments. I was bummed about the declining hearing and was grouchy , so sorry about that. You changed the caps and made the calibrations, which I find to have helped my ability to hear the radio ( the doubled phasing effect is gone). So I would like to continue working with you. I would ask you to try to communicate more straightforwardly with me. You did not tell me you had changed the caps or explain why you did that. You used indirect or euphemistic language which I found off putting. When I described what I perceived be a problem you tended to deny it was a problem rather than try to dig deeper to understand what I was getting at. (E.g how to identify which mode the Phonak switches to automatically. You said that couldn’t be done in the app, but then I showed you how I do it. I am sensitive to the tendency of some medical professionals to “infantilize” people my age with hearing loss. My impaired hearing makes me miss words in an explanation so I have to ask someone to say words again. “I know this is confusing” is a patronizing comment I get when I ask questions. I write investigative books; I seldom get confused.
